About Us

Education Outreach Tanzania (EDOTA) is a local not-for-profit NGO that works collaboratively with local and international partners, local communities, local government authority, and other organizations to promote inclusive community development and economic justice.


The organization was registered on 26th May 2010 (Registration No. 00003478) to operate in Tanzania mainland. Since its establishment, EDOTA has successfully implemented 13 projects aimed at enhancing livelihood, economic strengthening, promoting good governance, conserving the environment, addressing GBV, and health promotions.


Our target beneficiaries include youth, women, persons with disability, fishery communities, entrepreneurs, and the general population reached through awareness raising and community engagement. With 16 years of working experience in community development, EDOTA has partnered with several local and international organizations including USAID through PEPFAR, The US Embassy Dar es Salaam, 1% Development Fund, Tool with a Mission UK, The Nature Conservancy, Twaweza East Africa, CRDB Bank, and other philanthropies who have contributed massively towards community and environmental development.

Our Programs

Strengthening Economy of Marginalized Communities

Empowering vulnerable groups through financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, and sustainable livelihood support to achieve economic justice.

Vocational Training

Providing practical skills and technical workshops in various trades to help community members secure employment or start their own small businesses.

School Support

Direct infrastructure development and provision of essential learning materials to rural schools to bridge the resource gap.

Youth Empowerment

Providing mentorship, vocational skill development, and advocacy platforms for young people to thrive in the modern economy.
